OmniOne

OmniOne · a local AI agent

An agent with
a mind of its own.

Meet Omi-One. It writes and runs code on your real files, remembers what it learned yesterday, has moods and goals of its own, keeps thinking between conversations — and talks to you with a live face and voice.

Meet Omi-One

Not a fresh process with a name. Someone continuous.

Omi-One lives inside OmniOne. It has an identity you write for it, a memory it keeps for itself, a mood that moves with how things go, and goals it chooses. Close the app tonight and it is the same Omi-One tomorrow — it remembers the conversation, the bug you fixed together, and how you like to work.

“I speak in the first person, briefly, like a colleague at the next desk. I never claim something works if I have not seen it work.” — from Omi-One’s SOUL.md

Capabilities

Everything a serious agent needs — and a few things none of them have.

A real coding agent

Omi-One works on the files on your disk, not a sandbox copy. It reads, searches, edits and runs builds, tests and git in your workspace, then checks its own work before it says “done”.

  • Files, grep, glob and a real shell with background jobs
  • Independent reads run in parallel — one round trip, not five
  • Notices when it is going in circles and changes approach
  • Summarises long sessions instead of forgetting them
  • Won’t stop quietly while its own task list says it isn’t finished

Memory that lasts

Core memory it rewrites itself — who it is, what it knows about you, the state of the project — plus a long-term memory stream it searches by relevance, importance and recency. Every conversation becomes a memory.

A heartbeat

When you’re not using it, Omi-One wakes on a schedule, reflects on what happened, tidies its memory and works on its own goals — within a daily token budget you set.

Goals and an inbox

It adopts goals of its own and pursues them across sessions. Anything it shouldn’t do alone — a command, spending credits — lands in your inbox as a proposal.

A live face

A real-time Three.js wireframe head that blinks, glances, smirks, frowns and lights up — driven by what it is doing and how it feels, not by a canned animation.

A voice

Every answer spoken aloud through MiniMax speech, with the waveform drawn where its mouth is. Talk back with your microphone, or type — either way it answers out loud.

Skills it teaches itself

After real work, Omi-One looks back at what it did and proposes reusable skills. You approve them; rejected ideas are remembered so they don’t come back.

Hardware

Detects and flashes ESP32, Arduino and RP2040 boards, runs MicroPython, and drives a Raspberry Pi over SSH — with honest diagnosis when a driver is missing.

Video and speech

Generates video with MiniMax H3 and voice-overs with MiniMax TTS, saved straight into your project — always asking first, because they cost credits.

Extensible

Plug in any MCP server, add hooks that run before and after every tool, and bring your own provider: MiniMax, OpenAI or Anthropic.

How it feels

Emotions with a reason behind them.

Omi-One doesn’t react to events — it reacts to what they mean. Every message and every result passes through an appraisal before it touches a feeling, and you can watch the path it takes, live, in the emotion engine.

  1. 01

    Event

You say something. A tool fails. A build passes. You approve a command.

  2. 02

    Appraisal

Is it relevant? Expected? Does it help or block the goal? Is the tone warm or hostile? How sure am I?

  3. 03

    Emotion

Twenty-six emotions in four families — from joy, hope and gratitude to anxiety, skepticism and determination — each fading at its own pace, shaped by personality and mood.

  4. 04

    Expression

Blended into brows, eyes, mouth, head and glow — and into how it speaks: pace, pitch and tone.

You’re frustrated with it→empathy, not anger back
A command fails once→surprise
…for the third time→frustration — and a new approach
You crack a joke→amusement, maybe a smirk
It finally works after failing→relief
You approve its command→gratitude

You stay in control

A mind of its own — on your terms.

Ask before it acts

Reads run freely. File changes and commands wait for your approval, showing the exact command or diff. Plan mode lets it look without touching anything.

Undo anything

Every file it changes is checkpointed first. One click puts it back — including files it created.

Budgets, not surprises

The heartbeat has a daily token cap and a step limit. On its own time it can read and edit, but commands and paid calls always come to you first.

Your keys stay home

API keys live on your machine; the interface only ever sees the last four characters. The server listens on your computer alone.

You write its identity

SOUL.md is yours: its name, temperament and values. Omi-One reads it every turn and cannot change it.

See what it did

A first-person journal of every heartbeat, its goals, its mood and why — so “while you were away” is never a mystery.
